Friends of Bristol Museums, Galleries & Archives
We are a registered charity (no. 276777) and a community of people who love Bristol’s museums, galleries and archives. Over the years, our members have raised over £2 million to help fund new acquisitions, conservation, exhibitions and education across Bristol’s world-class collections. Everything we do is run entirely by volunteers.

From Renoir masterpieces and ancient Egyptian treasures to spectacular Assyrian Reliefs, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery holds collections of national and international significance spanning art, natural sciences and world cultures.
We respond to requests from museum staff to acquire artefacts and artworks, provide financial support for conservation projects.
Members’ subscriptions are at the heart of everything we do. Every membership helps fund the exciting new acquisitions.
